Getting Closer December 31, 2009

Posted by Chris in : Preperations , 2comments

Just over 7 weeks until we leave and we’re getting excited.  We have a bit more clothes shopping to do, probably going to hit up Gap because we have a roommate who works there so we can get discounts on clothes.  I’m planning to take 2 pairs of jeans, a couple of pairs of quick drying pants, 2 pairs of pants that can have the legs removed to make them shorts, and a swimsuit.  Also, several t-shirts and 2 pairs of long underwear.  1 polo shirt.  1 swimsuit.

As to what Tiff’s packing, I’ll try to get her on here to write something up before we leave, I promise.

See you in Europe soon!

With Christmas coming up shortly and our Europe trip not far behind, we’re excitedly looking towards what we will get that will help in our travels!  There are a few things still that we want to get ourselves but, at the same time, there are tons of things that we could probably use that we might not think of ourselves.  As Christmas gets rounded up, we will make sure to update our list of What We’re Bringing to reflect our new things.

So we’ve started playing around with the Canon Colpix listed in What We’re Packing and we love it.  The battery life is amazing, the photo quality is astounding, basically, the camera is great.

9 Unusual Things to Prepare for Europe December 7, 2009

As we prepare for our European Adventure, we’ve realized that there are some strange things that most people don’t think to plan for when planning an adventure.

1. We need to get our Wisdom teeth removed

2. We need to procure a small statue to take with us to photograph in different places

3.  I have to sell my car before we leave

4.  An exceptionally neurotic  detailed list of how to take care of your cats, each one individually

5.  Start planning for when we get back

6.  Take Anthropology classes to learn to talk to the natives

7.  Get your family to be OK with your travel plans

8.  Figure out travel income

9.  Wean your roommates off of you

Feel free to share your unusual travel plans in the comments!
